Non-Custodial Parents Overview
Child Support Enforcement Division (CSED) can assist you by collecting child support on behalf of New Mexico’s children. CSED can assist with establishing parentage, ensuring timely child support payments and modifying child support obligations. CSED is a neutral party and is unable to provide legal representation to either party.

Keep Us In The Loop
As a non-custodial parent, it is important you communicate to your caseworker any relevant change in circumstance. Changes in custody, visitation schedules. and employment can impact your child support obligation and should be communicated to your caseworker immediately.
CSED is now communicating via text messaging. To ensure you receive text messaging reminders, contact customer service and update your account with a cell phone number. CSED will never communicate or request personally identifiable information through a text message. You may contact Customer Service if you want to verify a CSED text message you received.
Developed by the federal Office of Child Support Enforcement, this handbook will provide you with detailed information on the child support program, its limitations and the rights and responsibilities of both parents.
