LOOKING FOR ASSISTANCE

The Human Services Department mission is: To transform lives. Working with our partners, we design and deliver innovative, high quality health and human services that improve the security and promote independence for New Mexicans in their communities.

Councils and Committees

The Developmental Disabilities Supports Division (DDSD) partners with parents, advocates, providers and other interested parties to develop quality across the Division. Through these committees, DDSD receives input from constituents on the entire system.

Advisory Council on Quality

The Advisory Council on Quality (ACQ) advises NMDOH on the systems guiding the provision of services and supports that assist people with developmental disabilities of all ages and their families to be fully included in New Mexico communities. This area includes information about the DD Waiver Steering Committee, the Mi Via Advisory Committee (MVAC), the Policy and Quality Committee, the Wait List Subcommittee, and more.

Family Advisory Board

The Family Advisory Board (FAB) is the parent group supporting the Medically Fragile Waiver. The group’s mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals who are medically fragile and their families.
