LOOKING FOR INFORMATION

A variety of resource materials are available at no cost for individuals with brain injury, family members, professionals, and other interested people through the NM Brain Injury Resource Center at ARCA.

NM Brain Injury Resource Center (NMBIRC)

The Brain Injury Resource Center is contracted by the HSD to provide information, outreach, and referral services statewide to those living with brain injury, their family members and caregivers, and professionals working with brain injury. The NMBIRC is able to share a variety of resource materials that provide valuable information on Brain Injury related topics including, but not limited to, causes, consequences, and prevention of brain injury; rehabilitation; depression; behavior challenges; guardianship; legal issues; Veterans issues; aging; driving; substance abuse; children’s issues; shaken baby; sexuality; care-giving; and support groups. In tandem with this service, ARCA operates a dedicated brain injury community center at its 4^th Street location and can also host support groups.
