Native American Services and Programs
New Mexico Medicaid works in close partnership with Native American leaders to improve health outcomes for American Indian and Alaska Native communities across the state. Guided by respect for Tribal sovereignty and cultural practices, these efforts reflect a long-term commitment to ensuring that care is accessible, culturally appropriate, and responsive to community priorities among the 23 federally recognized Tribes, Nations, and Pueblos in New Mexico. See this one page explainer of some of the initiatives and ways to engage with us.
