HSD Job Opportunities
The NM Human Services Department (HSD) serves over 600,000 citizens of New Mexico each month by administering several state and federally funded programs. Our larger divisions and programs include Medical Assistance, Child Support, Income Support and Behavioral Health Services (MAD, CSED, ISD, and BHSD). The NM HSD main office is located in Santa Fe and has field offices throughout New Mexico.
HSD has an ongoing need for Family Assistance Analysts in the Income Support Division (ISD) and Child Support Legal Assistants in the Child Support Enforcement Division (CSED). In addition, HSD often has positions for legal, financial, and administrative professionals. This includes attorneys, accountants, hearing officers, behavioral specialists, information technology personnel, and administration and clerical personnel. Many of these classifications are required at offices throughout the state
Certain positions are covered by collective bargaining agreements between the State of New Mexico and American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) or Communication Workers of America (CWA). All terms/conditions of those agreements apply and must be adhered to.
