Important Registration Date to Remember
Eligible Professionals wanting to receive payment for 2011 should, as soon as possible, register and attest to Adopt, Implement or Update (AIU) EHR Technology
Eligible Professionals who cannot meet this deadline may register and attest to AIU from 2012 up to 2016 for their first year payment
Registration
Registration and attestation for the New Mexico EHR Incentive Program is a dual process in which eligible professionals (EPs) and eligible hospitals (EHs) must first register at the national level through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Registration and Attestation System, and then register and attest at the New Mexico Medicaid State Level Registry (SLR) through the NM EHR Provider Outreach Page (http://nm.arraincentive.com).
Before beginning registration, it is recommended that eligible professionals and eligible hospitals walk through the Let's Get Started instructions on the NM EHR Provider Outreach Page to learn what is needed to register, access helpful tools, and link to other websites to obtain any missing information needed for registration and attestation.
Information entered during registration at the federal and state levels must match. It is important that eligible professionals and eligible hospitals keep copies or notes of information entered into the CMS system for use during registration at the state level. For verification and audit purposes, data used to support eligibility and attestation should be kept for six years from the year of attestation.
