Benefits Services Bureau

The Benefit Services Bureau is responsible for developing and modifying Medicaid program rules related to the Medicaid benefit package for many services and providers, except for waiver services and institutional services. The bureau is also responsible for helping administer the fee-for-service (FFS) Medicaid program through ACS, the Medicaid fiscal agent. Its main responsibilities include creating and revising Medicaid policy; enrolling and approving Medicaid FFS providers; developing and revising necessary Medicaid billing instructions; and managing the pharmacy and dental programs.
