Home & Community-Based Waivers
Recipients in the Home and Community-Based Waiver programs are persons who qualify both financially and medically for institutional care but who remain in the community. The Department of Health must determine that adequate care can be provided to the individual in the community at a lesser cost than in an institutional setting.
