Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) & Community Action Agencies

Welcome

The CSBG funding provides assistance to local communities through a network of community action agencies (CAAs) for the reduction of poverty. Currently there are eight CAAs in New Mexico. The agencies provide a variety of services, such as: Head Start, pre-school day care, adult day care, USDA programs, emergency food boxes, weatherization, home repair and rehabilitation, homeless prevention, housing, senior programs, migrant programs, emergency assistance, free tax preparation services and information and referral to other resources.
