Welcome to the official website of The Income Support Division (ISD). Our mission is to relieve, minimize or eliminate poverty and to make available certain services for eligible low-income individuals and families through statewide programs of financial assistance, food assistance, employment assistance and training services.
Federal monies issued to eligible low income households to increase their purchasing power and nutrition levels.
NMCAP is a New Mexico Human Services Department program that makes it easier for people who get Supplemental Security Income (SSI) to get food assistance.
TEFAP provides United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) commodities to eligible persons and families throughout the state.

Temporary Cash Assistance provides a monthly cash benefit to be used to meet basic family needs such as housing, utilities, and clothing costs.
General Assistance (GA) is a limited state-funded program that provides financial assistance to children and disabled adults.
LIHEAP assists persons and families with their heating and cooling costs. For more information on LIHEAP please call (800) 283-4465.
MAD manages the New Mexico Medicaid program. Medicaid is a joint federal and state program that pays for health care to New Mexicans who are eligible for Medicaid benefits.

Medicaid Renewal Program
The MRP provides assistance for recipients of New MexiKids (Children's Medicaid), Family Planning and Pregnancy Related Medicaid, and JUL Family Medicaid.
