The Income Support Division (ISD) provides services to New Mexicans out of the central office in Santa Fe, as well as through 33 offices statewide.

Most programs designed to benefit the very low-income are administered by ISD including:

Food StampsSNAP Benefits

Federal monies issued to eligible low income households to increase their purchasing power and nutrition levels.

Temporary Cash AssistanceTemporary Cash Assistance

Temporary Cash Assistance provides a monthly cash benefit to be used to meet basic family needs such as housing, utilities, and clothing costs.

General AssistanceGeneral Assistance

General Assistance (GA) is a limited state-funded program that provides financial assistance to children and disabled adults.

General AssistanceCommunity Assistance Programs & Community Service Block Grant

Community Assistance Programs provide emergency assistance through nine Community Action Agencies located throughout the state. The Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) program provides emergency assistance to persons and families for food, housing, medicine, work and education via Community Service Block Grant Agencies.

General AssistanceThe Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

General AssistanceThe Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)

TEFAP provides United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) commodities to eligible persons and families throughout the state.
