An exellent way to alert you to any fraud, errors or problems with your credit is by reviewing your credit report. You are entitled to one free credit report every 12 months from each of the three major credit reporting bureaus; Equifax, Experian, and Transunion.

The New Mexico Attorney General's Office has put together an Identity Theft Prevention Kit which is a step-by-step guide to help you determine if your identity has been stolen, and what to do about it.
